Call for Volunteers: Social justice campaigners

The Young European Greens are looking for volunteers to join our Social Justice Campaigners Team. Together with the Community Officer, the Communications and Campaigns Officer, and a member of the Executive Committee, you will work on drafting and implementing a digital campaign on the topic of Social Justice in the months of November 2025 to February 2026

This year, FYEG focused on the theme of Social Justice from an intersectional lens and developed a young green definition encompassing human, animal and environmental rights (read to the end to discover more). As the last part of our annual work plan, participants of our digital Young Green Academy are now drafting socially just policies on the topics of food security, housing, ecosystems and inclusivity. These policy outputs will serve as the base for the digital campaign.

Through digital campaigning, we empower people to take collective action and create meaningful change on the issues that matter most in Europe. To do this, we use Action Network, a super powerful emailing tool that more and more progressive NGOs, movements, and parties are using to be in touch with their supporters. By joining our team, you will first receive training on digital organising and campaigning as well as on how to use the tools.

This team is a high-energy, results-focused group, assembled just for this mission. It's part of our fresh approach to creating flexible, needs-driven volunteer teams that get things done!

What’s in it for you?

  • Expand your network by collaborating with Young Greens across Europe

  • Gain hands-on experience in digital campaigning and organising

  • Learn to use Action Network, a powerful tool used by progressive movements across Europe

  • Receive expertise from experienced professionals working at ECDA

  • Build your skills in copywriting, messaging and narrative-framing

  • Get creative coming up with ideas to promote our campaign

  • Contribute to amplifying voices of young greens and bring social justice to the forefront of activism!

What is expected of you?

  • Active participation in online weekly team meetings to plan tasks and strategise (first meeting on Thursday, October 30th at 18h CET)

  • Attendance of team in-person training in Brussels on November 28th and 29th (arrivals on Thursday 27th and departures on Sunday 30th)

  • Full preparation and implementation of the digital campaign

  • A commitment of 4 months

This is a volunteer role that requires a significant commitment of your time and energy during the campaign. However, the rewards are huge: you’ll get exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to the development plans and internal workings of the Young European Greens. You’ll be contributing to a worthy cause while gaining unique insights, building valuable skills, and forming lasting friendships across Europe

If you're interested in joining our digital campaign taskforce, please express your interest below and then complete part 2 of the application by Sunday, October 26th at Midnight CET. We look forward to hearing from you!
