The European Parliament just told 45 000 young Muslims

Let’s circle back: FEMYSO, the pan European network of Muslim youth organisations, has participated in every European Youth Event since 2016. And they have faced harassment every time: racist and islamophobic chants, coordinated smear campaigns, and intimidation by far right groups in the premises of these events and online. When FEMYSO raised their very real security concerns to the European Parliament, they were ignored. 

And now, instead of standing up to those spreading hate, the Parliament has excluded FEMYSO from their future events that are supposed to bring together young people from all over Europe. 

This is the same hatred, far-right intimidation and islamophobic harassment that all Muslims friends, neighbours and loved ones face in Europe. Every day. 

This rewards intimidation and sends a dangerous message: if the far right targets you long enough, you lose your seat at the table. We won’t let that happen.
