Call for Member Organisations - Young Greens Decentralised Trainings 2025

FYEG is announcing a call for Member Organisations (MOs) to participate in the Young Greens Decentralised Training 2025. This activity is a capacity-building opportunity for all the MOs (full and candidate) of the Federation. The selected MOs will receive tailored training on organisational strategy, sustainable growth and recruitment, and teamwork. This programme is a hybrid activity, and the different sessions take place from March.

The programme brings the opportunity to learn, exchange, and work towards boosting resilience in FYEG’s MO structures, securing the engagement and development of their members within their bodies and spaces, and creating diverse and welcoming activities. This programme is especially addressed to MOs that:

  • Experienced recent changes in their structures due to internal or external factors;

  • Want to put in place strategies to recruit new members and/or work on engagement pathways to ensure the participation of their members;

  • Want to analyse the internal functioning of their organisation, to boost good practices and implement better processes if needed;

  • Aspire to strengthen their internal structures and enhance their organizational planning for more effective and sustainable growth.

This activity is the third edition of this learning programme, which took place during the second half of 2022 and 2023.

This learning programme is a long-term activity that consists of the following compulsory phases:

  • One-to-one interviews. Each selected MO will have an online meeting with the prep team before the live kick-off event. The participants in the live kick-off should be present at this meeting.

  • Live kick-off event between the 21st to the 24th of March (arrivals on the 21st of March, departures starting on the 24th evening).

  • 1 follow-up local internal activity. During the live kick-off event, the participants will prepare a follow-up activity to be implemented together with the board of the organisation and other activists of the MO of their choice (Young Greens who are especially engaged in the organisation, coordinators of working groups or local branches, etc.), to disseminate the knowledge and the resources of the training to the organisation. [June-September]

  • 1 online evaluation meeting. The participants of the kick-off event will meet for an online evaluation meeting to share the results of the follow-up activities with the other participants and evaluate the whole programme. [October]

All MOs applying will select a delegation of 3 people that commit to:

  • Attend the kick-off event taking place in Brussels from the 21st to the 24th of March (arrivals on the 21st midday, departures on the 24th after 18:00).

  • Organise a follow-up internal activity, in which the representatives of the MO will guarantee that the knowledge acquired will be shared with the rest of the organisation. With that aim, at least one of the members of the delegation must be a member of the board, secretariat, or other decision-making or management body. The delegation must be gender balanced.

  • Attend the evaluation online workshop in October. It is compulsory that at least one of them attends each workshop.

  • Nominate one of the members of the delegation as its head of delegation. This person will be responsible for ensuring the attendance of the MO at all stages of the programme and will be the main point of contact for the FYEG team in charge of this project.

Do you think your MO could benefit from this opportunity? Fill in the registration form by the 31st of January 23:59 CEST HERE. The MOs will have to provide the data of the members of the delegation. Before applying, your MO will need to select three young greens to be the delegates in accordance with the criteria above.

In accordance with the project budget and the scope of the activity, the FYEG Executive Committee will select up to five MOs to take part in this programme. The selected MOs and the three appointed delegates will be contacted in February and will confirm their participation. The delegate will have to fill in a registration form that will be used to prepare the logistics of the live event.
