Call for the Preparatory Team for The FEM Camp

Feminism is not one story. It intersects with race, ecology, animal rights, class, disability, and power. This summer, we’re creating a space to explore those intersections and we’re looking for four people to help design it.

What is this about?

A 6-day summer camp in the Czech Republic preceded by online preparatory sessions (mandatory, starting in May), will bring together young activists to explore intersectional feminism, from its histories to its role in today’s political, economic, and democratic systems.

The camp will move:

  • from feminist foundations and intersectionality,

  • through anti-racist, inclusion, ecofeminist, and animal rights perspectives,

  • towards practical skills in leadership, non-formal education, and organisational strategy for action with an intersectional feminist lens!

Participants will leave with concrete plans for local action or organisational change.The Preparatory Team makes that possible. The activity is part of a Work Plan Long-term international cooperation project) funded by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe. Read more about the project here.

What are the objectives?

Through this activity, we aim to:

  • Provide participants with key knowledge of feminist history, current debates, and intersectionality;

  • Create space to connect feminism with racial justice, environmental and animal rights, and systemic structures;

  • Support participants in applying intersectional perspectives to their activist and organisational work; as well as their own positions of privilege;

  • Enable participants to develop actionable strategies for local impact.

What will you do as part of the Preparatory Team?

As a Preparatory Team member, you will co-create the entire learning journey:

  • Design and facilitate workshops using non-formal education methods;

  • Select participants for the event;

  • Work with guest speakers and support participants before, during, and after the camp;

  • Support information collection or campaign planning;

  • Help us draft up an Intersectional Feminist toolkit;

  • Help hold a safe, inclusive, and empowering space throughout the activity.

  • Full participation in a live prep team meeting in Brussels, 19-20.06.2026 (2 full working days);

  • Full participation during the entire event, 3-8.08.2026 and the meetings of the Preparatory Team before and after the event itself 2.08 and 9.08;

  • Full participation in a workshops online pre-live event;

  • Participation in weekly or bi-weekly online meetings starting in April.

You won’t do this alone. You’ll work closely with FYEG’s Project & Programme Manager and a member of the Executive Committee.
