Call for Prep Team - European Lab: Social justice, here and now
The Federation of Young European Greens is excited to announce an open call for members of the international Preparatory Preparatory for “European Lab: Social Justice, here and now”. The international activity will take place from 21 to 23 March in Croatia.
The 3-day kick-off event will focus on introducing participants to the concept of social justice and social policies. Participants from all over Europe will explore the existing social justice definitions, critically assess whether they are sufficient, and finally develop a young green understanding of social justice.
This event aims to establish a connection between the aspects of social justice and the Young Greens in the contemporary political and societal context.
We will achieve it through the following objectives:
Explore traditional, past definitions of social justice
Examine what modern-day practitioners think of the traditional definitions of social justice and their effectiveness.
Develop our definitions of social justice as young Greens, including what we believe is missing from the previous ones.
We are looking for 3 people to join the international Preparatory Team and lead the preparation of “European Lab: Social justice, here and now” with the full support of FYEG’s Project and Programme Officer and a member of FYEG’s Executive Committee. Your responsibilities in this role will be:

Active participation in weekly online meetings, research and design of workshops prior to the even, starting in January 2025;
Full preparation and implementation of the programme, and programme material;
Invitation of and communication with guests in accordance with the project aims;
Selection of participants and communication with them prior the event;
Taking care of practicalities and of the general well-being of the participants;
Support in finalising any deliverables for up to one month after the event.
