Call for Participants - Summer camp 2025

The Federation of Young European Greens is excited to announce an open call for participants for “Summer Camp: Policies of Today and Tomorrow.” This international activity will take place from 27 July - 1 August 2025 in Puck, Poland.

This six-day event will focus on the legal and political dimensions of policies at the European and national/regional levels. Participants will learn what policies are, how to evaluate them, and engage in activities that explore concrete regulatory proposals in detail. They will also develop their own social justice policy assessment projects, applying their newly gained skills to support FYEG’s social justice campaign.

This event builds on the understanding of social justice developed during the European Lab: Social Justice, Here and Now, which connects human and animal rights together with environmental justice, for a truly modern and actual understanding of social justice.

The activity will be divided into three learning blocks, featuring introductory sessions, skill-building training, thematic explorations, and creative output development.

Objectives

Through this event, we aim to:

  • Explore what policies are, their components, and what makes them effective or ineffective.

  • Provide space for assessing regulatory solutions in various policy areas, evaluating the pros and cons of different legislative and political decisions.

  • Support participants in identifying policy flaws and proposing improvements through critical analysis.

IMPORTANT: Once you have registered your interest, you will be emailed the official application form, which you must complete by the 21.04.2025 to complete your application.

We are looking for young people between 15-35 years old, residing in one of the Council of Europe member states, Belarus, Russia and Kosovo*. We welcome applications reflecting diversity in all forms and we encourage applications from those who identify as women*, LGBTQIA+, POC, or with a disability or other health impairment.

Language

The main language of this activity will be English, but not being comfortable interacting in English should not stop you from applying. We are sure you speak English better than you think!

Costs

Your costs of participation in the event - including lodging (accommodation in multi-bed rooms, vegan food), visa - will be fully covered by the organisers. Additionally, travel costs will be covered up to a given amount based on actual travel costs from your place of residence to Poland. Participants will be asked to combine the most economic and environmentally friendly way of travelling (lowest price + travel time + CO2 emissions).

Participation fee: In exchange, FYEG asks you to contribute with a participation fee depending on your country of residence and your means, as follows:

Category 1 (North and West region countries):

  • Base fee : 200 EUR

  • Equitable fee : 260 EUR

  • Solidarity fee : 310 EUR

Category 2 (South and Centre region countries):

  • Base fee : 150 EUR

  • Equitable fee :  180 EUR

  • Solidarity fee : 210 EUR

Category 3 (East region countries):

  • Base fee : 100 EUR

  • Equitable fee : 120 EUR

  • Solidarity fee : 150 EUR

→ If paying the fee is an obstacle, we encourage you to apply anyway; FYEG is happy to reduce or waive it if needed.

An overview of the categories for each country is available HERE

Please assess whether you would like to pay the base, equitable or solidarity fee based on your financial situation. The solidarity fee is in place for applicants who have the means to contribute a bit more in solidarity with others. Applicants for whom paying the fee is an obstacle for participation should still apply. FYEG will try to find a solution together with the applicant when the selection is finalised.
