Call for host organisation: General Assembly 2026
FYEG's Executive Committee is announcing a call for a host organisation for FYEG’s 2026 General Assembly (GA) scheduled for May or June. The GA will be 3 days long and take place from either Thursday to Saturday (arrival on Wednesday and departure on Sunday), or from Friday to Sunday (arrival on Thursday and departure on Monday), according to the availability of the host MO and potential service providers. The EC suggests the following options:
The last week of May, either:
28th May - 30th May (arrival 27th May, departure 31st May), or
29th May - 31st May (arrival 28th May, departure 1st June);
The first week of June, either:
4th June - 6th June (arrival 3rd June, departure 7th June), or
5th June - 7th June (arrival 4th June, departure 8th June);
The second week of June, either
11th June - 13th June (arrival 12th June, departure 14th June), or
12th June - 14th June (arrival 11th June, departure 15th June).
If you believe your MO has the capacity to host this event, we warmly encourage you to apply. Please make sure to understand the application process and the efforts that need to be invested when hosting the General Assembly. We are looking forward to working with you to bring together all our Member Organisations.
FYEG strives for regional balance in the organisation of its activities, including the GA. We will take into account the locations of previous in-person events.
The GA is FYEG’s highest decision-making event of the year; we will have a great time agreeing on our political lines, creating proposals, and connecting with young greens from across Europe. Besides the GA, we will also organise the Spring Conference, a space to have political exchange and workshops with high-level speakers and expert trainers.
Hosting the General Assembly and Spring Conference is a rewarding effort full of learning and team-building opportunities, but it is also a time-consuming commitment of great responsibility. The host organisation will work with the FYEG Executive Committee, Office, and with the Presidency of the GA. Please keep in mind that this is a long-term commitment as the preparations might require your local team’s attention at least 4 months prior to the event and a few weeks after your MO is selected as host, therefore we ask that you prepare your membership base and volunteers eager to support us in this event to be available.
If your organisation is interested in hosting this event, we kindly ask you to carefully and thoroughly fill in the application form linked in this call. We advise that you start working on it as soon as possible, do not leave it to the last minute. Do not hesitate to be in touch via email in case of doubt.
Application process:
Your application should be sent via email to cinta.gonzalezsentis@fyeg.org and contain the following attachments:
The completed logistics questionnaire (fill in the template available HERE) for the proposed city of the event, with an overview of up to 3 affordable options for accommodation, meeting venue and catering as well as the basic info regarding international travel; the logistics questionnaire includes also a part on human resources. Please read the questionnaire carefully to understand the needs from our side.
A short statement on behalf of the leadership of your organisation, expressing the interest to be the host of the General Assembly 2026 and the commitment to take part in the entire planning and organisational process. This statement should also include information on the political motivations of your organisation to host the Federation of Young European Greens. Also please mention the political priorities of your organisation that could be included in the Spring Conference. (Please note that the final program of the GA and the Spring Conference is ultimately decided by the Executive Committee and its content is also subject to conditions of other co-funders).
Co-funding possibilities from your organisation: While FYEG will cover the majority of the expenses, we would like to know if the host organisation could contribute or help contribute to the finances of the General Assembly, either through your organisation’s own resources, in-kind contributions, or as the result of fundraising efforts. FYEG can support the co-funding effort of the host organisation depending on the MO’s capacities. This is not a requirement to apply to host the GA. Depending on the price range of the suggested service providers, we would be looking into a contribution of 5,000 to 15,000 EUR.
Please send all documents by Sunday the 19th of October 23:59 CET by email to cinta.gonzalezsentis@fyeg.org. After you submit your application, we will probably ask follow-up questions to be answered within one week. The final decision will be announced in November.
If hosting a General Assembly is beyond your organisation’s capacities but you would still like to host a FYEG event:
