Call for Prep Team - The future is Green

The Federation of Young European Greens is announcing an open call for members of the international Preparatory Team (Prep Team) for The Future Is Green: Youth Assembly”, a big international activity that will take place from 30 March to 1 April in Brussels.

The event will consist of 3 days of exciting programme including meet-ups with Green Members of the European Parliament, campaigning training and workshops designed according to the principles of non-formal education, one public event where to meet influencers, artists and decision-makers.

The aim of the event is to connect young campaigners, community organisers, politicians and young candidates to a new generation of Green young leaders, and set a solid base for improving youth participation at the national and European level during election times in 2023 and 2024. The concrete objectives are:

  1. Communicate the urgency to address threats to democracy which are preventing meaningful forms of youth participation in politics;

  2. Inspire young people to play active roles in influencing politics and elections, through showcasing campaigning and community organising stories featuring young activists, movement leaders, and Young Greens;

  3. Offer a journey in two parallel tracks, one for potential young candidates and one for young activists interested in mobilising around elections, to increase youth power and representation.

If you are a team player interested in trying out your facilitation skills, if you want to see how FYEG fights for change and creates avenues for meaningful youth power, if you are eager to help young people influencing decision-makers everywhere in Europe - you should apply to be part of this Prep Team!
