Call for Participants: Surfing skills for Green Waves

The Federation of Young European Greens is opening a call for its member organisations to nominate participants to its training “Surfing skills for Green Waves”. The training will take place in Brussels, Belgium from 07 December 2019, Saturday to 09 December 2019, Monday.

The training is aimed for the:

  • Members of the Boards of Young Green Organisations
  • Members of the Secretariat of Young Green Organisations

This year the training topics are most useful for those working on external communications and campaigning or recruitment, management and training of new members

Each FYEG Member Organization (full, candidate, observer) is invited to nominate two delegates.

Depending on their main field of work and interest (communication or recruitment) participants will attend trainings delivered by trainers on these topics. There will also be space to exchange best practices of different young green organisations across Europe. Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a training on building safe spaces, and finances & administration.

On the last day of the training participants will visit the European Parliament and meet with Ska Keller, co-president of the Greens-EFA group in the European Parliament and Marie Toussaint, Member of the European Parliament and former co-chair of the French Young Greens.

Participants are expected to arrive on 6 December Friday, anytime and depart 9 December Monday after 12.00. The Parliament Visit is going to take place on 9 December Monday between 09.00 and 12.00. It is mandatory to attend the visit. Please arrange your travels accordingly.

Accomodation and food are provided and paid for by FYEG and travel costs are fully reimbursed within the limits stated in the Financial Conditions. There is a participation fee of 35€ for participants coming from EU/EEA countries and 20€ for participants coming from non-EU/EEA countries. Please read the financial conditions carefully before registering for the event. It is mandatory to take part to the visit in the European Parliament in order to get FYEG reimbursed for your travel costs and lodging.

  • Be nominated by your Member Organisation (maximum 2 ppl per organisation, can be members of the Board or Secretariat)
  • Fill in this form by Wednesday 6th November at 23.59 pm.
