Call for Intern

The Federation of Young European Greens is looking for one intern to support FYEG and the Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament in their work. It is a paid full-time internship with flexible working hours.

FYEG is a dynamic, inclusive organisation that unites Young Green activists, Green youth movements and political organisations from all over Europe. It advocates and campaigns for political change, and serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge among Young Green activists. More at: www.fyeg.org and www.greens-efa.eu.


The internship is shared evenly between the FYEG office and the Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament. The work will consist of 1) assisting a member of staff of the Greens/EFA group in European Parliament, 2) assisting the FYEG Office, 3) liaising between the Greens/EFA group and FYEG office.

The intern will work under the joint supervision of a Group staff member and FYEG’s Secretary General. They will be involved in organising and implementing FYEG’s events and projects as part of the Federation’s activity plan centered on Just Transition. They will also support the Greens/EFA group on European Ideas Lab that is planned to take place in October-November 2020.


  • Student (or recent graduate)
  • Good knowledge of English (both written and oral), knowledge of other languages would be an advantage
  • Good writing and computer skills
  • Availability to travel abroad
  • Showing initiative, the ability to work independently and under pressure
  • General knowledge of European politics and a strong interest in Green politics
  • General knowledge and interest in Just Transition narratives, challenges and initiatives
  • Commitment to Green values and experience in grassroots activism through involvement or membership in FYEG Member Organisations.


This full-time internship is foreseen for a period of 5 months from the beginning of September 2020 until the beginning of February 2021 (exact dates to be agreed upon). Working time is 35 hours/week with flexible working hours and occasional work in the evening and on week-ends. In addition to public holidays established, the intern will have 2 days of holiday per month and will receive a monthly allowance of 1300 EUR.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic and it’s evolution, part of the internship may have to be performed remotely through teleworking. This will be organised and communicated on accordingly, in line with the development of the sanitary crisis and following guidelines adopted by Belgium, the European Parliament and the FYEG office.
