Dear FYEG Member Organisations,

FYEG Executive Committee is pleased to announce a call for host organisations for two international educational events that will take place in April and July 2020.

All Member Organisations (MOs) are encouraged to apply! MOs who applied to host the GA can also apply for this call.

We are in particular looking for organisations who want to organise:

  • Seminar: It is not just a transition: Youth in Cities (21-25 April, TBC)

  • Summer Camp: It is not just a transition: Youth in Rural Areas (20-26 July, TBC)

Preparatory meetings will take place around 2 months before each event, at the venue of each event respectively.

More details about the project and the events can be found HERE. The project is supported by theEuropean Youth Foundation ofCouncil of Europe.

Responsibilities and rights of the host organisation:

  • to nominate at least 3 people from their organisation - Technical coordinator, and an Assistant (Local Prep Team) and Program Coordinator (Prep Team member) - that will be in contact point for the logistics and program of the event. They should be able to fully attend the event;

  • to arrange fully accessible accommodation and venue, meals (vegetarian and vegan) and refreshments for the prep team meetings and for the event itself;

  • to provide invitation letters for participants who need a visa;

  • if possible, to help with finding additional monetary and/or in-kind funding for the event (with assistance from FYEG Office);

  • to arrange other technical needs related to the event;

Benefits to the local host organisation:

  • to promote this activity at local/national level (where the organisation is situated) as its own international activity heald in cooperation with FYEG;

  • to make use of the presence of the international Young Greens to organise side activities during/after the event that will support the interest of their organisation;

  • to organise a campaign/media event, workshop or an action with the international Young Greens;

  • to build capacities of its own members in organising events, fundraising, capacity-building and international cooperation;

  • a unique and motivation-boosting international experience.

Organising an FYEG event is time consuming, but it is a worthwhile effort and a well-invested time as well as a great team-building experience for your organisation.

The decision regarding the selected location will be communicated by the end of November. FYEG strives for regional balance in the organisation of its events, and that will be an important criteria during the selection - together with the quality of the application.

If your organisation is interested in hosting one of these two events, please fill in THIS FORM by the 1st November 2019 at 23:59 CET.

For any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us on project.manager@fyeg.org
