Call for Delegates - Young Greens Forum

The Federation of Young European Greens will organise its Young Greens Forum in Brussels, Belgium from the 4th to the 6th of March 2022. As approved in the 2021 Activity Plan, the Young Greens Forum (YG Forum) is planned as a meeting of the representatives from the political and organizational work areas of Member Organisations and functions as a prelude to our General Assembly.

It is an opportunity for FYEG Member Organisations and FYEG’s partners to get together and work towards increasing the political outreach and the organisational capacity of our network and share information with and among Young Green Organisations across Europe.

The Young Greens Forum will give us the space to deepen our talks regarding FYEG as an organization and its structures, it will also provide space to receive input from Member Organizations regarding the political, strategic and educational direction that FYEG should follow in the upcoming year.

FYEG Executive Committee invites each associate, candidate and full member organisation to nominate a two-person delegation from their Board or Secretariat (for example international officers, spokespeople, secretary generals or office coordinators).

Second delegates of Member Organisations will only get reimbursed if at least one of the two delegates identifies as a woman, trans or genderqueer. The participation of a second delegate is subject to the payment of a participation fee. The amount of the fee and further details regarding financial conditions are outlined in the Financial Guidelines attached.

FYEG will cover accommodation and food expenses of the delegates for the duration of the YG Forum. FYEG will cover visa expenses for those participants who need a visa to enter Belgium.

FYEG is only accepting participants who are fully vaccinated. Being fully vaccinated means that you got the final dose of your vaccine at least 15 days before the event and that you got the booster if it is available for you according to your country's regulations. Those who are ineligible for vaccination due to health reasons or conditions and have a medical report that proves it are also welcome to join. Following FYEG COVID guidelines, all participants (also those who are vaccinated) will be required to present a negative PCR test taken within 48h before the start of the event. The official starting date of the event is Friday 4th at 17:00 CET. Participants that are unable to present a negative PCR test will not be allowed to join the program and will not be allowed to check in to the accommodation. FYEG will fully reimburse the costs of the PCR test. FYEG will put in place COVID mesures on top of the health measures enforced by the Belgian authorities and will communicate them closer to the event date. All participants are expected to commit to these rules and facilitate their implementation.

Delegates are expected to arrive anytime on Friday (check-in starts at 17h) and leave anytime on Monday 7th of March (check-out is at 11h). A light dinner will be provided on Friday evening, and breakfast will be provided on Monday morning in the hostel.

Please read the financial conditions sent to your MO carefully before registering for the event. The travel costs will only be reimbursed if they comply with the financial conditions.

In case you have any questions (regarding the travel, with the visa process, entering Belgium, etc.) please contact Cinta via email to cinta.gonzalezsentis@europeangreens.eu.
