Emil Schenkyr - Grüne Jugend (Germany)

Hi everyone, I am Emil (he/him)! Born and raised in small-town, rural Bavaria in the south of Germany, I always felt the urge to go about and explore the world. After a yearlong student exchange to Malaysia at age 15, the seal was broken and I have since lived, worked, and studied in France, Belgium, Kazakhstan, and Russia. Coming from a household with four younger siblings, I learned to take on responsibility for me and others at a young age. This is reflected in my broad work experience (including everything from kitchen aid to parliamentary assistant), which I used to finance my studies. After being active in European policy and international diplomacy, I was longing for more and became politically active in Grüne Jugend. This is where I found my political home, FYEG, which combines everything I ever looked for – radical Green ideas, intercultural communication, and European politics. I cannot wait to put my skills to good use and embark on this journey of growth of FYEG together!

Tuomo Kondie - Vihreät nuoret (Finland)

I am Tuomo Kondie, a Karelian linguist and activist. My activism background is in minority rights and the climate movement, and over the years I have developed a burning passion for organisational development and campaigning. Changing the world for the better is no small task, but the job is made a little easier by having the right tools and resources and knowing how to use them. I started my green journey in 2015 and have since served many roles within the green movement, and now I would like to serve FYEG. Europe is facing ever darkening times and I would like to offer my experience and expertise to make this beautiful federation of ours even brighter and stronger. When I’m not fighting for a greener world, I enjoy climbing, birdwatching and poetry. If there are any questions or comments regarding my candidacy, my lines are always open!
