On International Women´s Day, FYEG would like to highlight the persistent injustices that women face all over the world. We pledge our unwavering support to the struggle for the fulfilment of women´s rights and against patriarchal oppression everywhere around the world.

We strive for more gender equality and against suffocating gender roles on this international day. We want to expose the continued inequalities between the genders, the static roles that society imposes on us and the huge and mainly invisible problem of patriarchal violence against women. 

Soon the European Parliament (EP) will vote on a proposal to improve voting rights. At the moment, this is the only one of the many official EU proposals which aims to expand citizens’ rights in Europe. In the public it is almost unknown - Democracy International has now launched a campaign to inform the public.
