Czech YG action on the Global Climate Campaign's day of action

Saturday afternon on the 4^th on December was a "day of action" for the green movement Mladí zelení At Oldtown square an action focused on climate change was held, within the Global climate change campaign, which organizes every year demonstrations and manifests all over the world in order to stress the most important ecological problems.

The day was traditionally fixed on saturday - during the time of the UN negotiations and meeting about climate change (for this year in Cancun, Mexico).

At the UN climate change meetings delegates discuss solutions of environment.

Un fortunaltely, untill now states weren´t able to find any common effective solution so the time of expiring of Kjoto protocol comes to be shorter and shorter.

The main target of our action in Prague was to set up a petition for the czech minister of environment in a different way. The petiton wasn´t created through signing of letter, but through a photo with a polar bear and with an original message adressed to the minister.

The meeting was favoured by high attention/consideration of czech and foreign citizens as well.

By the photo-messages was created a collage which was sent b „Mladí zelení“ to the minister of environment.
