FYEG is looking for motivated young people and experts with knowledge in sociology, politics, economics and activism to write articles for the next FYEG publication: Youth Emancipation in Europe.

FYEG’s Motivation for the Publication: The Federation of Young European Greens aims to build a better Europe for current and future generations. Young people have been suffering the hardest effects of the economic crisis; it is the first generation whose life standard is worse than their parents’. The worst figure might be the 40% youth unemployment rate in Spain. However the unemployment rate is one face of the same dice - working conditions, access to education and housing are all policies that can ensure youth emancipation.

The European Governance should guarantee to all young people equal opportunities and the right to emancipate, to develop an independent and to live a decent life. Therefore, FYEG want to develop a publication with a series of articles and opinion that allow us to suggest new ideas on youth emancipation. Moreover, the publication will help young people and organizations to discuss the issue increasing their knowledge and capacity as well as building bridges across different realities among Member States.

The main focus of this publication is youth emancipation through a Green perspective. We want to explore how youth, youth workers, as well as policy makers can enable emancipation within whole society.
