It is again time to remind the society of one of the gravest forms of discrimination against women, sexual violence. The FYEG gender working group wants to urge all the member organisations to take action on this very important day! We want to provide you tools for this by circulating action ideas on the list. Take a look what the Green Youth in Munich plan to organize on the International Day against violence against women, to call upon the public to take action against this criminal deed: "The main part of the street action are three women wearing T-shirts steaming with (fake) blood who symbolize our message – one puts her hands over her ears and wears a T-shirt with the inscription “Don’t turn away from listening”, the second woman is blindfolded and wears a T-Shirt “Don’t look away” and the third woman wears tape over her mouth and her T-Shirt says “Break the silence”. With this campaign we want to show the German public that violence against women is still an important topic in Germany." What are you planning to do in your organisation? Send your ideas and action plans to the list and take advantage of the ideas sent by others! After your glorious, groundbreaking action, you can still do something to promote the cause:
Ok! Let's act! Active greetings, |
